With the aim to make a dent in the premium smartphone market, Chinese player OnePlus on Thursday launched its flagship OnePlus 6 in India – a first in the OnePlus’ line-up featuring an all-glass design. This time, they are launching the special edition of their flagship offering with its initial launch – they have teamed up with Marvel Studios to unveil the OnePlus 6 Avengers: Infinity War edition in India for Rs 44,999.

It was confirmed by the company couple of weeks ago that it is partnering with Marvel Studios to bring this limited edition smartphone. The alert slider too is now in gold colour. There is also an Avengers Theme preinstalled which has a dark look to it with golden accents.

The OnePlus 6 comes in 6GB RAM with 64GB version in Mirror Black at $529 (Rs. 35,825 approx.). “Instead, each of the three colors we have seen has a different look and finish”.

Interested readers can log in to OnePlus India’s official page (here) and YouTube channel (here) to witness the launch event. Incidentally, the display on the OnePlus 6 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, whereas Honor doesn’t really mention any sorts of the protection in the specs sheet of its flagship.

OnePlus offers the smartphone in three variants based on RAM and storage. OnePlus’s latest flagship will be priced at Rs 34,999 for the base 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant and Rs 39,999 for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage version. There is a 3300mAh battery with fast charging via Dash Charge.

With a 16-megapixel front camera with a Sony IMX371 sensor, you can click some awesome selfies to impress your friends and families. Now, since OnePlus 6 comfortably sits below the Rs. 35,000-mark, there is indeed a lot of competition for the smartphone, the Honor 10 being its biggest challenges. “The OnePlus 5T has a horizontal dual-camera with a 16MP (aperture f/1.7, focal length 27mm, sensor size 1/2.8″, pixel size 1.12µm, gyro EIS) + 20 MP (f/1.7, focal length 27mm, sensor size 1/2.8″, pixel size 1µm), but it does not support 2x optical zoom, only digital zoom.

OnePlus 6 will go on sale in India on May 21 via Amazon, OnePlus pop-up stores and the OnePlus Experience Store in Bengaluru. Moreover, the mobile has a facial recognition feature and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. It can record slow-motion videos at 480 frames-per-second apart from recording 4 K videos for you.

With the OnePlus 6, the company has introduced Portrait Mode on the front camera as well as its rear.

The phone has up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. Just as the OnePlus 5T, the company has also included the Face Unlock feature on the OnePlus 6 as well and claims that it is capable of unlocking the smartphone is just 0.4 seconds.
