The streaming video entertainment sector is becoming ever more competitive, with Disney and WarnerMedia now working on their own plans.

As for Apple News+, so far available only in the U.S. and Canada, Apple says it won’t replace the existing free Apple News service that already exists.

Apple TV+ will be launching Fall 2019 in more than 100 countries. He was there with his new friend, a little girl monster puppet named Cody who told us about her new show that will introduce kids to coding and focus on STEM. Ready or not, Apple unveiled a sneak peek at Apple TV Plus, its own TV and movie streaming service on Monday.

Apple is betting on services to pick up the slack – and for good reason: Three in four Americans have at least one online subscription, and video streaming services are the most popular. Apple’s content will presumably be available exclusively in HD and it will have to be priced aggressively in order to take off. In fiscal 2018, services – including Apple Pay, Apple Music, the App Store and iCloud – represented just 14 percent of the company’s revenues.

Apple has reportedly spent more than $1 billion on its original TV shows and movies – far less than Netflix and HBO spend every year.

Just how much exclusive content will be on Apple TV+ and how much it costs has yet to be revealed but we don’t expect it to set folks back more than $10 a month, going by the price of Apple’s other subscription services.

Finally, Apple announced its own credit card.

Users get 2 percent cash back on regular purchases and 3 percent cashback on purchases from Apple. The new version of the app will allow users to bundle existing streaming services like Hulu and Amazon Prime (Netflix will not be available) as well as pay-TV services such as Canal+, Charter Spectrum, DIRECTV NOW, and PlayStation Vue.

Alongside video, the news and magazine service is expected to include around 200 magazines, with a $9.99 per month subscription required to access them all. Reality check: Nobody would actually subscribe to 300 magazines, and some of the publications included in the mix, like The Wall Street Journal, are sharing access only to select articles. Some of the new magazine offerings in the service include Time, Vogue, People, National Geographic and several others, according to logos that appeared on screen.

The news industry has struggled for years as advertising dollars shift to social media and other digital media.

Much like the kids section in Netflix, Apple TV has a kids section.

Apple News+ was launched Monday in the U.S. and Canada in English and French and will be available later this year in Britain and Australia, the company said.

Apple has officially declared war on Netflix and Amazon Video.

It will be available through the Apple TV app, which will be available on Roku, Fire TV, and various smart TVs. By the time the service launches, we think the Apple TV app should be on many third-party smart TVs and streaming devices.

“That is why I have joined forces with Apple“.

The aim of Apple Arcade, basically, is to get the paid games in front of a bigger audience.

The tech giant’s card will be accepted by MasterCard’s global payment network and is backed by Goldman Sachs.
